Apple expired certificates.

Since September 30, 2021, Apple has been expiring CA certificates, which causes activations to fail on older macOS systems. Version 2.2.4 lets these systems activate offline and keep the license activated.

Clean uninstall first.

Before installing v2.2.4

    Delete Absentia DX from the Applications folder.
  2. 02
    Delete the .AbsentiaDX folder from Users/yourusername/.
  3. 03
    Delete the file .26775784583eac80c23621.34770696 from /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/.System.
  4. 04
    Install Absentia DX v2.2.4.
Steps 02 and 03 need hidden files visible in Finder. On most macOS versions the shortcut is ⌘ ⇧ .

Install and activate offline.

v2.2.4 · Offline activation

Download v2.2.4 and install it. Open the app; if you get a warning, hold Ctrl, right-click the app and choose Open.

Put your machine offline and activate your license. Send us the offline activation request and we'll send the response back. The ActivationResponse files can activate your machine as many times as you need.
